Claire Morgan
Director of Wales
Claire joined in July 2017. She campaigns within the Welsh Government and with other public, private and third sector partners in Wales, to increase recognition of the 310,751 carers saving the Welsh economy £8 billion a year and the support carers need to continue to making such a vital contribution.
Claire joined us from Age Cymru where she was a Director for over five years, managing national services for older people. She has worked in Wales and England in community development, business start up and economic development.
Beth Evans
Policy Manager
Beth took up her post in June 2006 having been previously employed by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, the Disability Rights Commission, Disability Wales and the Equal Opportunities Commission. A key part of her role is to inform and advise carers, professionals and policy makers about carers’ rights and legal entitlements and keep abreast of policy changes that may affect carers on a Wales and National level.
Jake Smith
Policy Officer
Jake develops and conveys Welsh policy positions and supports carers to shape services across Wales. He joined Carers Wales in October 2020. Jake has been a national representative of students, a charity trustee and worked in higher education and third sector roles alongside a Cardiff University Master’s in Public Policy.
Jane Healey
Employers for Carers Wales Hub Manager
Jane joined in August 2020 and is responsible for Employers for Carers Memberships Wales. She has a wealth of experience in sales and customer experience roles for a variety of companies in the UK. These roles have been both face-to-face customer roles and management of sales teams.
Catherine Reynolds
Employers for Carers Wales Hub Officer
Catherine started working for Carers Wales in November 2021 and is working as an Employers for Carers Officer. She has a background working in Higher Education with roles including events, outreach, careers, employer engagement and networking.
Edward Grace
Campaigns and Communications Officer
Edward joined the Carer Wales in 2016 and splits his time between communication and campaigning work. He develops and implements communications strategies across the team. He also works with health, media and local government to influence on the behalf of carers and has a key role in our annual campaigns like Carers Week and Carers Rights Day.
Emily Ellis
Information Development Officer
Emily maintains and develops information and advice resources and wellbeing content for Carers Wales. She previously worked to support people living with mental health conditions and brain injuries, before transitioning to freelance writing and content work. She graduated from Cardiff University in September 2020 with an MA in Magazine Journalism.
Natalie Marchant
Listening Support Officer
Natalie joined Carers Wales in October 2020 to work on the development, promotion and delivery of the Listening Support Service. This service provides bi-lingual, emotional support to unpaid carers. Natalie also ensures the volunteers are supported with training, regular check-in calls & ongoing support.
Jo Coles
Office Manager
Jo joined Carers Wales in February 2019. She is a qualified accountant and has worked in the private and public sector. She is responsible for running the Wales office, keeping accurate financial records, assisting in the preparation of financial management information, and supporting the Wales committees and networks.
Jo joined Carers Wales after a break from work to look after her young family and caring for her father during a period of ill health.
